“After 70 years for Babylon are complete, I will visit you, and fulfill My good Word toward you – to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans that I have in mind for you,” declares YAHU “plans for peace and not calamity – to give you a future and a hope.”
When we read this ( Jeremiah 29:11 particularly ) what is it that we think of?
Our blessings, our future, what is in it for us?
Do we react like children of God?
Daniel reacted to the same reading,
it went something to the effect of:
“O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and mercy with those who love Him and guard His commands
we have sinned [ . . . ]
Why don’t we react that way?
Because the pride of this life in us prevents us from keeping a repentant heart.
Daniel understood that in order for God to add life to us,
He must first subtract death.
I pray that we become bold enough to want God to subtract every ounce of death from our bodies, so that we can become more like Him.
In Jesus Name,
