Don’t Worship Music It’s Just Sounds in the Air

“Don’t worship music it’s just sounds in the air.”

I heard this Wednesday morning.

It troubled me

I thought, “Lord am I worshiping music?”

Worship is what we pay attention to

I was paying attention to music,

like sitting waiting at it’s feet

as if it was going to provide me something

or serve me something

There is a quiet cry in our souls

“feed me.”

we say it to one another

we say it to our job

we say it to facebook

we say it to our pets

we speak to deserted wells and temple fountain ruins

with our tongues out

When Yeshua says,

“Why spend money on what is not bread,

and your labor on what does not satisfy?

Listen! Listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in abundance!

Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink!

We need to spend a considerable amount of time at the feet of God

and not our idols

Daddy,

forgive us…
