Happy is everyone in fear of Yahu,
who walks in His Ways
“For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall guard the Way of Yahu, to do righteousness and judgment.”
When I hear this verse about Abraham, I immediately am taken back to the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve were kicked out;
“and at the east of the Garden of Eden He had cherubim dwell along, with the whirling sword of flame, to guard the Way to the Tree of Life.”
All the while in the back of my mind is the understanding that:
“Yeshua said to him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life! No man comes to the Father except through Me.”
Then I realized the parallel, the only Way to God is through Jesus
He made that possible hanging on a tree
Which would make the cross the Tree of Life
I guess the question is, do we as believers do a good job of guarding the Way of the Lord?
At work when someone is complaining, do you agree with that spirit?
When someone is being made fun of, gossiped on, etc., do we join in?
When someone uses Jesus’ Name as toilet paper, do we jump to the Lord’s defense.
Many times the answer to that is a cowardly “no.”
We are soldiers,
and we are called to be bold.
Let’s trust God with that.
