There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
The same came to Yehoshua by night, and said to him,
“Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher that has come from God, for no man can do these miracles that you do except God be with him.
Yehoshua answered and said unto him,
“Amen, Amen, I say to you, Except a man be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
~ John 3:2-3 ~
Many believe this is to be read “born again,” but this is not the case, the word that is used here means “above” not again. Yehoshua is teaching that we must be born from above.
It is written:
“Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I say to you that in heaven their angels always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven.”
Later in the conversation with Nicodemus, Yehoshua said,
“And no man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man who is in heaven.”
It is one thing to be born in the earth
It is another to be born in heaven
